I remember siblings at our playgroup who were always fighting. One day I asked their frazzled mum what the age gap was between them and she told me ’18 months’. The same gap as Henry and Annie. I walked away thinking about how much I needed to enjoy this relatively calm phase of my children’s relationship because one day they will probably fight – a lot.
At the moment they’re learning how to be friends. Well, Annie’s learning how to get up in Henry’s grill and Henry’s learning how to deal with it. For now I’m going to enjoy watching them giggle with each other or sweet little moments like when Henry brings Annie a toy when she’s crying, or how Annie watches her big bro play as if he’s just the bee’s knees.
